Terms & Conditions

Furs-N-Spurs Communications Policy

  • To inquire about the status of your mount, customer agrees to use the "Where's My Mount" tool on the website.

  • Customer will receive an email when Furs N Spurs creates the work order in "Where's My Mount" once received, the customer will receive a second email instructing them to create a password. 

  • The ONLY form of communication is thru the app (Where's My Mount) or phone call. Furs N Spurs Taxidermy's shop phone no longer receives SMS, IMessages, or Facebook messages. Therefore a text/facebook message is not considered a formal line of communication. 

  • It is the responsibility of the customer to login into the app and verify that all information is correct. No exceptions.

Furs-N-Spurs Cape/Skin Policy

  • Capes/skins are prepped in house. We preserve skins through a chemical process known as tanning. This means  the tanning process can, but not limited to, alter the appearance of the cape/skin. Results from the tanning process can change the color of the hair or how the hair pattern behaves. 

Furs-N-Spurs Terms of Service

  • Estimated completion is an ESTIMATE ONLY. Customer will be notified when mount is complete. Please refrain from inquiry calls, as there is no guarantee that it will be answered.

  • Turn-around time is an estimate only and could change for various reasons without notification.

  • Furs-N-Spurs Taxidermy is not liable for theft or damage/destruction as result of fire, flood, tanning, or any Natural Act of God.

  • Work left after 30 days from time of notification will be sold for remaining balance. A $15.00 per day storage fee will begin incurring after 30 days of notice of completion, or mount will be sold, whichever comes first; as per the Artisan Lein Act of Alabama.

  • Customer confirms all laws & regulations have been met for obtaining specimen. The  customer accepts all responsibility-holding Furs-N-Spurs Taxidermy harmless.

  • Furs-N-Spurs reserves the right to enforce the agreement between customer and Furs-N-Spurs as deemed fit.

  • Furs-N-Spurs reserves the right to terminate the agreement between customer and Furs-N-Spurs, and customer agrees to hold      Furs-N-Spurs harmless.

  • At pick-up if customer or representative of the customer takes possession of mount then customer accepts the  mount and agrees the final mount meets or exceeds customer's expectations. No exceptions. Furs N Spurs encourages customer (or representative) to inspect mount at pickup prior to leaving and taking possession of mount.

  • If mount is to be shipped customer assumes ALL RISKS AND LIABILITIES of shipping. Holding Furs-N-Spurs harmless.

  • Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this contract, or the breach thereof, shall be settled by arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules and judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator(s) may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.

Furs-N-Spurs Specimen Disclaimer

  • The condition of the specimen upon arrival cannot be known or presumed; therefore customer assumes all associated risks.

  • Furs-N-Spurs is held harmless as a result of any specimen quality, such as but not limited, to slippage, natural damage to specimen, damage from processor or hunter, and/or any other natural element. If a cape/skin is bad it will be removed and disposed of immediately to prevent any potential bacterial spread to other specimens.

  • Due to the wide range of possible causes of slippage customer holds Furs-N-Spurs harmless and accepts all risks associated with   slippage.

  • If a specimen's cape/skin is bad, Furs N Spurs will replace the skin IF a spare is in stock. If a spare is not in stock the customer can provide or purchase one.

Furs-N-Spurs Payment Policy

  • DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Regardless of reasoning. No exceptions.

  • Habitat work and shipping of mount are not included in the above price unless noted. If mount is shipped to or from Furs N Spurs Taxidermy, the customer assumes all liability.

  • Customer will be contacted 30 days prior to the start of work on above piece. At which time the customer will be expected to pay the balance in full within 14 calendar days. Should the customer not be able to do so, mount will be removed from its order in the work in the work log.

  • No checks for final payment. All transactions are final no exceptions.
